My first wingfoil lessons:
- Whether you opt for kitesurfing or wingfoiling, we invite you to share a coffee for a moment of relaxation while filling the
terms and conditions, if it has not already been done online. Take the opportunity to share your sporting experiences with us. Next, we will guide you in choosing safety equipment, such as vest and helmet. Be sure to bring long shorts or leggings to protect your knees from chafing on the board.
- We will show you the essential equipment, including the wing sail of different sizes depending on the wind and your weight, a board with different volumes (in liters) adapted to your weight and level, as well as the foil, made up of the wing, fuselage, stabilizer and mast, the surface of which varies depending on your level. A short 45 cm mast offers a more fun experience than an 85 cm mast. After a briefing on the beach, we will introduce you to the handling of the wing sail, you will learn how to perform maneuvers on the ground, such as turning, stabilizing, trimming, and shocking. These steps are essential before venturing into the water.
- The launch is directly in front of the club, where the wind is generally gentler near the shore, and the body of water is calm. You don't have to worry about depth, as the seabed is covered with sand and seagrass and quickly becomes deep, reaching 2 to 3 meters. The first step is to find balance, stand on the board, raise the sail out of the water, and tuck in by pulling the back hand. Once you get the hang of it, you'll see that it doesn't require any more complication for beginners. Keep your head up, look far ahead, start to orient yourself and pick up speed.

Wingfoil is a dance with wind and water, each dancer writes their own choreography.
Unlike kitesurfing, if you feel the need to take a short break, you can sit comfortably on your board. You will drift gently, but don't worry, the lagoon is spacious, and our instructor will accompany you throughout the session. Usually after about an hour of navigation we reach the lower part of the area. At that point you get back on the boat with your gear for a quick ride back upwind to the upper part of the area, which only takes 5-8 minutes. This is the ideal opportunity to chat with the instructor, take a short break to drink water and snack on a cereal bar before starting the second “round”.
The course ends after two hours of practice. Back on the beach, we carry out a complete debriefing. We analyze your progress, what worked and what didn't, while setting goals for the next sessions to come.
“Been there before?” »
Naturally, if you are already experienced, we will adjust to your level. Do not hesitate to leave a comment when making your reservation. If you were on the board during your last session, we will pick up where you left off.
Lessons following:
Each course begins with a briefing during which we together establish the objectives of the session. You will learn how to choose your equipment, inflate the sail, mount the foil, move safely on the beach, and put your equipment in the water.
We will then resume navigation, introducing you to turns and the art of gaining speed. Once the warm-up is complete, you will learn about flying, with an emphasis on in-flight stabilization. Two sessions of towed foiling can considerably accelerate your understanding of the principle, particularly for the uninitiated. For the more experienced, we will work on advanced maneuvers such as jibes, changes of pace, and tacks.
Finally, at the end of the course, we will return to land for an in-depth debriefing.
How succeed my wingfoil course:
- Motivation ! It is, above all, the most determining factor for success.
- It is essential to be fit; If you have been partying late into the night or are not feeling your best, it is best to postpone the class.
- Don't forget to bring sunscreen, lycra, leggings or long shorts to protect your knees, sunglasses with a cord, a bottle of water and a cereal bar.
- Don’t hesitate to watch tutorials on the internet. There is some quality content and some less reliable content, but we can discuss that during the briefing.
- Make sure to arrive 15 minutes before class starts for optimal preparation.
Monitored wingfoil navigation:
- You must be able to go upwind
- Sessions last two hours
